1. Where should I fly to and from?
Our suggestion is to book a “multi-city” flight with inbound flight to Tegucigalpa International Airport, (airport code TGU) and return flight from Roatán International Airport (airport code RTB).

You can also book a round-trip ticket to TGU or RTB, but please note that this would require an additional domestic flight in order to meet the start or end times indicated in your trip itinerary. 2. What time and where does the trip start and ends?
Your trip will start at 1PM on the “trip start date” at the Tegucigalpa International Airport.
The trip will end at 8AM on the “trip end date” at the Roatán International Airport.
Please refer to the Terms and Conditions in case you need to arrive or depart sooner or later than the times indicated above.
3. What’s included in the trip?
Hotels: All accommodations are included in single, double, tripe or quadruple rooms. If you are a single person joining us, you will not be sharing rooms with someone else. We do not pair up people or have shared rooms.
Transportation: All transportation to and from hotels and to and from activities are included, per the itinerary page. This includes private van and one way air-fare to Roatán.
Meals: Most meals are included as denoted by a B, L, or D in the itinerary.
Activities: We have included a wide variety of pre-planned activities for you to enjoy. All these activities are included. But we know that guests want to have flexibility to explore on their own, especially in Roatán. Let us know if you are interested in any of the optional activities.
4. Why are not all meals included?
Although we know that including all meals would be convenient, our select customer base is an adventurous one. Locations like Copán and Roatán offer a wide variety of local and international cuisine options that we encourage you to try on your own time and pace. We want you to have a true experience by carefully balancing a pre-planned trip and some “discover on your own” activities. Your tour manager will be more than glad to give you the best advice on options.
5. Do the meals include vegetarian, vegan, or gluten free options?
All meals will include vegetarian options. Please indicate this this preference while booking. Although we strive to meet all dietary needs, unfortunately at this time we cannot ensure a vegan or gluten free option at each meal.

Tips to the tour manager(s), tour guides, maids, and bellhops are not included. Tips to restaurant waiters for included meals and tips for guides in the included activities are included in the price of the trip.

8. Is Honduras safe?
Most of Honduras is safe, especially in heavy tourist areas like Copán and Roatán. Honduras reputation has been tarnished by gang and drug trafficking activity. Most crime happens between people that are involved in these activities. Honduras is generally safe for the tourists, with some precautions in areas like Tegucigalpa. Since 2011, the government has deployed a strategy that has effectively cut down crime rates by more than 50%. This has significantly contributed to the steady growth in tourism.

More than 2.2 million tourists visited Honduras in 2017, out of which more than 500,000 were US american.
Tourism in Honduras has been growing steadily. The number of international tourists has doubled since 2005. From 2013 to 2017, the growth in international visitors is close to 25%.
Since 2011, air line frequencies from the USA to Honduras have more than doubled, with now direct flights from Miami, New York City, Dallas, Houston, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, and New Orleans. All major US airlines fly to Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, and Roatan
9. What kind of hotels are we staying at?
We have partnered with some of the best ranked hotels in every location. The hotels we will be staying at are boutique or 3/4-star hotels with all the amenities that will make your stay comfortable, convenient, and relaxing. Hotels amenities will vary depending on the location, but all will include full-service restaurant, free WiFi, and AC. Some will include pool access, spas, bars, and beach access.
10. What is the currency and how do I get cash in Honduras?
The current conversion rate as of August 2019 is $1 USD = 25 Lempiras (Lps.). As an example, 100 Lps. = $4 USD. The best way to get cash in Honduras is to use your ATM Debit card, but you can also get cash at the airport (Exchange House) or at some hotels. Many of souvenir stores, hotels, and restaurants will accept US Dollars as form of payment.
11. Are tips included?
In general, none of the tips are included. Please consider tipping your tour guides, bellhops, and servers as they rely on your tips as income. Usually, our advice is to tip 50 – 100 Lps. ($2 – 4 USD). Tips are included for the pre-planned activities and meals as indicated in the itinerary.
12. What is the weather like in Honduras?
Weather in Honduras can be summarized into two seasons: Rainy and Dry Season. The rainy season in the mainland usually starts in May and ends in October. Roatán is an exception as the rainy season starts in October and ends in February. The dry season in most of the mainland is from October through April. The hottest months of the year are March and April (85F – 95F) while the coldest are December and January (70 – 80F). Tegucigalpa and Copán can experience cooler evenings due to their elevations. You can expect chill evenings even in the hotter months. These are general guidelines, but every season could extend or shorten year after year.
13. What clothes should I pack?
In Tegucigalpa and Copán, all year round bring light clothing, a sweater or sweatshirt and a light raincoat (May – October). In Tegucigalpa, being the capital city, attire is a bit more formal and stylish. You will want to wear jeans, slacks, or a nice dress while out for dinner. When going to La Tigra in Tegucigalpa, bring a jacket, athletic or comfortable clothes, and hiking boots.

14. What is the size and average age of the group joining the trip?
In order to provide an excellent and personalized service, we have limited our group sizes to 10-24 people. No more than 24 people will join any given trip. Age is a mindset. We have people from all ages joining our trip. But the trip has a fair amount of active, outdoor, and fitness demanding activities. Be prepared to hike, swim, zip-line, eat a lot, and walk for long periods of time.
15. Are children allowed in the trip?
Children above the age of 16 years are allowed on the trip with a parent or guardian. This will be required at booking. Our trips are usually joined by active young professionals and adults that enjoy discovering new cultures, and have open minds about the diversity that a new culture can bring. At this time our trips are not intended for children under 16 years old. Please contact our customer service desk for any questions.
16. What time do the activities or travel times start?
Most days will start with planned activities at 8AM and end at 9PM (includes dinner) with multiple breaks and/or leisure time in-between. Some days, the planned activities will end at 4-5PM and one day there will be no planned activities at all so you can explore on your own.
17. Do I need a passport and visa to travel Honduras?
All US American citizens need a valid US passport to enter Honduras with a minimum 6-month validity. No visa requirement exists for US citizens or Permanent residents while visiting Honduras for stays of up to 90 days. 18. Do I need any vaccines to travel to Honduras?
For vaccines information or recommendations prior to travel to Honduras please visit your country’s Health Department office. For US citizens, please refer to Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at www.cdc.gov for related information.
